More Oranges Coming Right Up!

GamePatch has posted an update on the current status of their projects on their website. In short, Shuffle! is placed on hold until heklin comes back approximately in late summer of this year, and the previous effort on Really? Really! reported previously is now a part of GamePatch, with a Tick Tack preview patch on the way.

ID of Fei on the AnimeSuki Forum has decided to start a translation project of Project Navel’s game, Really? Really! He has some preliminary progress and is currently looking for mainly translation staff and someone to deal with .mng images.

Otakon Suprises (Utawarerumono, Shuffle, and Demonbane)

ADV announced at Otakon today that they have acquired the rights for Utawarerumono Anime. It will (unfortunately) be distributed in the US under the name of “Shadow Warrior Chronicles”. It’s set for a release date of early 2007.
In other suprising news, Kadokawa announced that Shuffle and Demonbane animes will be coming to the US. Distributors to be announced in 2007.

Ryuusoul from mirror moon has completed his rewrite and proof of the Tsukihime script. A closed beta will follow.

heklin says that he is now around 30% done translation checking the script for Shuffle. After that, it’ll go to KnKF for final editing and then to QC.
Aoyama-san of Hirameki International, a company that localizes visual novel style games for the English audience, was wondering about the fan translation process and started a thread for this purpose. You can read what some of the visual novel translation community’s translators have said on the matter.
