Translations for Rance 2 remake and Rance 8 demo out

A complete fan translation of the second title in AliceSoft’s famous Rance series, Rance 2 – Hangyaku no Shoujotachi -, has been released. This fan translation is based on the recently released remake, rather than the original 1990 release. The team has also released a translation of the short demo of the upcoming eighth title in the series, Rance Quest. Rance Quest is expected to be released in Japan on August 26. With these releases, the translation team now continues towards their goal of having the full Rance series translated by continuing their work on the third game in the series.

Big Bang Age fan translation released

Aroduc has announced that his fan translation of Alice Soft’s Big Bang Age is complete, and that a full translation patch has been released. Outside of fixing typos that may come up and finishing up some work on Chaos Mode banners, this concludes work on the project that began at the end of last year. The patch requires a copy of the original game in order to use, and translates the full script into English along with replacing the Japanese text in images with English text.

Big Bang Age sees partial alpha release

A partial alpha patch of Alice Soft’s Big Bang Age was released yesterday by Aroduc, who is best known as the translator of Battle Moon Wars and Galaxy Angel. This alpha patch translates 77 thousand lines out of a grand total of 102 thousand lines, translating Senna’s route in its entirety. Future text patches can be expected once a week, every Friday or Saturday, while graphics patches will be considered major releases and be released more rarely as major portions of the game are ready to be released.

Rance recovers translated text tomes

A English localization patch installer for AliceSoft’s Sengoku Rance is now available for download. This installer is intended to allow the user to install the game directly from the DVD or to patch an existing install. Furthermore, an additional patch has been released which adds text fixes and the ability for non-Japanese locale systems to display numbers correctly.
