The Seagulls Are Crying, Too

A translation group going by the name of Witch Hunt has released a partial patch that translates chapters 00 through 02 for episode1 of Umineko no Naku Koro ni. As noted on the site, this patch only works with the episode2 release of the game (which includes episode1).

Sakura-Con 2008 Over

encubed attended this year’s Sakura-Con in Seattle, Washington, USA. お疲れ様でした! We thank the staff for organizing the convention and allowing us to attend as press, and Mr. Hiroki Kikuta and Ms. Yuna Kagesaki for allowing us to interview them. The interviews and con report, as well as photos, will be available from our Sakura-Con 2008 page.

More Oranges Coming Right Up!

GamePatch has posted an update on the current status of their projects on their website. In short, Shuffle! is placed on hold until heklin comes back approximately in late summer of this year, and the previous effort on Really? Really! reported previously is now a part of GamePatch, with a Tick Tack preview patch on the way.

Cthulhu Devours Another Translator

The Saya no Uta translation project is now without a translator and is seeking a replacement. More specifically, the project mentions that the translator’s “knowledge of Japanese is fairly good, but the lengthy and detailed descriptions of the game were too much for him.” Interested parties should take their translation test, which they’ve posted on their webpage and they are taking applications until the end of the month.
