The website for minori’s overseas visitors has now been replaced by a very short message:

minori’s official website.
(for overseas)

We’ll be back soon.

minoriへのご意見等は日本語でinfo@minori.phへお願いします。

KEEP MINORITY SPIRIT

The Japanese part reads: “for comments, etc., please send Japanese email to info@minori.ph” The entire message is followed by a link to NO NAME LOSERS’ website.

UPDATE: No Name Losers’ website is now also shortened to a simple message:

We’ll update you with more information as soon as it becomes available.
Keep minority spirit!

as well as a link back to minori.

    NNL hacked minori? xD
Probably not, although that would explain uh, everything.

that would’ve been the best troll the world has ever seen. its not even an exaggeration

So what they trying to get their fans to initiate an attack on NNL?

So either NNL hacked Minori or Minori endorsed someone to hack NNL? I’m thinking its the former, as I doubt an official company would endorse NNL by supplying their link, let alone any other non-affiliated link.

Well I suppose this means NNL has at least bargained for minori to break down the IP block.

But if this were a hack like some people think… I agree, best troll in the history of fishing OR bridge-guarding.

Doesn’t look like a hack to me. If anything, this seems to indicate that they’ve reached some sort of an agreement and are coordinating their communications.

    my newest conspiracy theory!
minori suddenly changed their website. thus, minori’s “current” website is nothing more than a troll.

Well ideally Minori has realized that they aren’t going to get anywhere fighting NNL and wants to work with them. As for how plausible this is, not sure.

It would be kinda funny if NNL had really hacked Minori.

2010.08.08. We apologize once again for the extended delay. We are still in the middle of negotiations.

However, we can tell you these:

    - Swells is canceled. We can’t reveal what it really was, but it wasn’t a minori title.
    - All fansubbed work, including ef and Wind -a breath of heart- , has been discontinued.
    - The old web site in its no-frills “blog” format will no longer exist.

Thank you for your understanding. We appreciate your patience.

    Well, huh.

I can’t remember which game was which but if Swells was eden*, then I sure hope the statement: “Swells is canceled” contains as much truth as “…it wasn’t a minori title.”

  18. Shio Says:

I believe Swells and eden* were two seperate projects. But according to NNL, everything is cancelled anyway.

Do we have any news as to what the negotiations are consisting of specifically?

  20. anon Says:
    August 13th, 2010 at 8:04 pm

The negotiations between NNL and minori are consisting of two things, specifically:

    Jack

    and

    Shit

  21. Arteas Says:
    August 14th, 2010 at 7:58 am

(20.) I’ve never heard of those titles before are they any good?

Well jokes aside it’s pretty strange that NNL would stop everything is there was absolutely nothing being discussed in the negotiations. I mean it would be a pretty radical change in stance.

Though tbh I wouldn’t be suprised if NNL’s site suddenly opened up again saying the news about canceling Swells was just a joke.

  22. anon Says:
    August 14th, 2010 at 1:15 pm

(21.) One of the theories that is floating around is that there are no negotiations going on. The theory is that this whole thing is a troll initiated by minori and that NNL decided to play along. This may seem somewhat implausible that a company like minori would do something so childish, but keep in mind these are the guys that vandalized the eden page at TL Wiki to voice their displeasure with the translation project and then subsequently got into a flame war/edit war with some of the people at TL Wiki.

2010.08.21. We have mostly agreed to final terms and are awaiting a response from the other involved parties.

A new web site is being created. Hopefully we can reveal the details soon!

    The plot thickens.
