MangaGamer offering limited hard copies at Anime Expo

According to a tweet by MangaGamer, they will be offering limited hard copies of the all ages version of Kira Kira as well as the question arcs of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni for sale at Anime Expo. According to MangaGamer, these were created through a special arrangement with HOBIBOX and OVERDRIVE. The box art can be seen on the MangaGamer Anime Expo post. The press release (reproduced below) indicates that interested distributors should talk to MangaGamer at the convention or via email.

That is some seriously awesome news. Here’s hoping that the hard copies all get snapped up and they see that the demand is high enough for them to start offering disc versions of all their titles in the future.

Personally, I hope some of them show up on eBay since the expo isn’t being held in my country. Hell, I’d pay for the two demo discs they’re just giving away. If physical copies of their other titles are forthcoming, it’s time for me to get ready for another VN shopping spree.
