MangaGamer announces D.C. II, hints at more

After adding lines to a blog post every day, MangaGamer translator kouryuu has finally finished his updates with an official announcement for Da Capo II. The lines in the original post amount to a translation of the opening sequence to Da Capo II up to the point where you get woken up by your “sisters”. What is interesting, however, is that there are some additional lines added at the end that were not from the game. It is possible this hints at other upcoming games.

The additional lines are:

Slowly, yet steadily,
As the cherry blossoms fluttered to ground,
As the the stifling hot summer rolled by,
And the cries of the cicadas faded,
As the Autumn leaves filled the world with color
In memory of kingdoms fallen long ago,
As the cold chill of winter gripped the land,
The Season of Da Capo was approaching.

Interesting things to note include “in memory of kingdoms fallen long ago” and “Season of Da Capo”. The first might be a reference to some upcoming RPG title, and the second may refer to several of the fandiscs in the Da Capo franchise.

“in memory of kingdoms fallen long ago” = a game that has fantasy elements in it… since Koihime Musou has already been announced, perhaps something from Eushully? A man can dream…

“Season of Da Capo” = yes, that does sound the oh-so-numerous seasonal fandiscs for Da Capo…
