For some reason, there’s always a barrage of announcements around the end of March. As with last year, we’re consolidating them into a single post. We’ll keep this updated as more announcements come.
- Agilis has finally released Narcissu Side 2nd by Stage-Nana in English as a full operating system. (Neechin.net)
- Hendane and MangaGamer announce a new strategic partnership to release boxed versions of MangaGamer’s lineup. (Hendane!.com)
- Aniki Translations (formerly Yandere Translations) has announced that they are 70% complete with their translation of Hotaru 3 by Tarutaru Monya~. Their release will also feature a dub by the translation team. (Aniki Translations)
- No Name Losers release Minori Mystery Meat.
- The people/person working on a translation of Yandere has released a translation patch for the trial version of Gore Screaming Show.
- mirrormoon’s project servers had been seized by Dutch authorities, although they managed to retain some of their backups.
- MangaGamer starts their spring sale as planned.
- The translator for Kara no Shoujo has now added a poll for what to translate next.

it’s funny, because if mangagamer actually did that, they might actually make money.

Manga Gamer is actually doing that…Dunno if that specific post is true, but they are going for physical media for some of their games.

They’re not doing that. There was someone claiming bying physical copies of their games on JAST forums but those sellers were obviously frauds.

Minori mistery meat is actually a standalone patch which serves as a preview (demo) of Eden.
Also, has anyone checked Mirrormoon’s site? Upon downloading the “backup” files they posted I got myself a “pretty and shiny~” English patch for Farland. Haven’t tried it, but it looks legit at first glance.

I hate it when the good news pops out of nowhere during or near the day of April Fool. It makes me thinking if it real or not. >.<

Yes Manga Gamer is doing that. They haven’t started selling them yet, but they will. You’re welcome to not believe me, but you’re going to feel quite stupid come a few months from now.

Don’t forget that the KnS group will also be translating the new alternate Kara no Shoujo (空の少女), a yuri version of the game by Innocent Grey.

Sacchinftw: Oh, I thought that words “Mangagamer is doing that” meant “they’re doing it now” and not “maybe they’re gonna do it in a few months” :-D

Hendane removed the page…

Can someone please confirm whether or not MG will start packaging some of their games? The link is down and I can’t find anything else on this.

The hardcopy deal between MG and HDN was an April Fools joke. There are some rumours that MG itself is planning to start selling hardcopies at some point, as you can read above, but I’ve yet to see any evidence of that (not that I’ve been looking, but still).

Sorry to disappoint you guys but it’s really very improbable. They’re still struggling hard with sales so they can’t afford such a big investment.
