An English translation patch for the entirety of AKABEiSOFT2’s novel game, Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo, has now been released. The patch consists of a modified executable as well as a game archive patch file. Error reports are requested and can be submitted on the TLWiki.
Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo is the second major work published by AKABEiSOFT2, a game company that was originally a doujin circle named AKABEiSOFT. The game is classified as a “human drama” by the maker and talks about a fictional society where criminals are assigned “obligations” and rehabilitated under the supervision of a “Special High Class Individual,” to which the protagonist aspires to be. The game spawned a fandisc as well as a manga adaptation and future all-ages console port.
The translation project for the game started around three months back, and has released various partial patches roughly once a month. The “readme” page has a list of notes about the localization style undertaken, a synopsis of the game, a link to the translation patch as well as a link for reporting bugs. The project was hosted on TLWiki, but the translation project was completed by a small team.
